Sir:
Energ is expensive enough. I see no reason to prolcng the startup cf TMI-Unit 1 (NBC docket number 50-2S95p). This reacter has been ready to produce electricity for a 1cng tine. Why is the startup taws so leng?!
3ecause this energ source is cet being used, Metrcpolitan Edison x.:st buy replacenent pcwer. The utilities that supply the replacement pcwer use coal, nuclear, and oil. This power costs censuners 'm* cns of dollars a month. We are already paying too nuch for oil without increasing the dema-A because no one is taking the respcesibility to start up TMI-1.
The do nancy of the t-d==="ed TMI-1 reacter does not fit in with what I 1
l have heard about ener y policy. Ecw could anycne let such a fertile energy I
source go w.used?!
please start up the ed===M TXI-1 reactor now! It was not danged when the Unit 2 reactor experienecd the accident. The two =its were desi :ed to operate independently. There is no reason to keep cne 6
reacter frca operating because the other is damaged. '"he scener TMI-1 can be restarted, the happier people who are ccncerned about energ T).50'$
resources will be. 'D ark you.
