SUBJECT:

INFORMATION AND SCHEDULE CONCERNING REVIEW 0F SEISMIC AND DYNAMIC QUALIFICATION OF EQU:IPMENT FOR GRAND GJLF Your March 16, 1981 memorandum requested certain information regarding the subject review for operating license applications. The purpose of this memorandum is to provide that infonnation regarding the Grand Gulf OL review, and to indicate that the applicant will support the schedule identified in your memorandum for the Grand Gulf SQRT site visit and SER issuance.

By letter dated January 27, 1981 the applicant for Grand Gulf was requested to provide additional information concerning equipment qualification for seismic and hydrodynamic loads. At that time we indicated trat a response was required by March, in order to support a planned SQRT site visit on May 4-8, 1981.

Accordingly, the applicant has submitted preliminary responses to our request by letters dated March 9,1981 and March 16, 1981. Certain portions of this infonnation which are incomplete are expected to be finalized and submitted prior to May 1,1981. Also, as you requested, copies of all responses are sent to EG&E Idaho at the same time as they are sent to the staff.
