Dear Mr. Lynch:
During the weeks of February 23 and March 2, 1981, the following U.S. Geological Survey wells were developed and tested to insure that they are open to the aquifer:
GM-1 GM-39 D-5A G-10 106 GM-2 GM-40 D-6A 23A 107 GM-3 GM-41 D-7A 23B 108 GM-4A GM-42 D-8 24 109 GM-4B GM-43 G-1 25 221-24 GM-4C GM-44 G-2 26 222-183 GM-5 GM-45 G-4 27 222-65 GM-6 GM-46 G-4A 101 222-28 GM-7B D-1A G-6 102 223-115 GM-8 D-2A G-7 103 223-20 GM-9 D-3A G-8 104 224-55 GM-38 D-4A G-9 105 All wells except #107 were found to be open. Well #107 is at least partially plugged and does not appear to be responding to water-level changes in the aquifer. This well will be deactivated and replaced.
Wells D-1, D-4, D-5, D-6, and D-7 were removed during this maintenance period.
Wells D-2 and D-3 will also be removed. All these wells have already been re-placed by deeper wells at the same locations.
If you have any questions concerning this work, please feel free to call Lee Watson or David Cohen at (317)-269-7107.
l Sincerely yours, 0
