Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
e South Texas Project Units 1&2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Security Guard Training and Qualification Plan Houston Lighting & Power (HL&P) Company requested by letter on February 25, 1980, an extension of the March 1,1980 deadline for submitting the South Texas Project (STP) Security Guard Training and Qualification Plan.
By letter received from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission dated February 11, 1980, Mr. Emanuel Licitra indicated that comments and questions regarding the STP Security Plan and the Contirgency Plan would be received at an unspecified future date.
He also stated that the NRC would inform Houston Lighting &
Power Company in writing as to when we would be required to submit the Guard Training and Qualification Plan.
Based on this letter, Houston Lighting & Power Company requests that the submittal of the Guard Training and Qualification Plan be delayed until specific guidance regarding the Security Plan review schedule is received from your office.
