NRC letter from D. G. Eisenhut to All Licensees of Operating Plants and Holders of Construction Permits and Applicants for Construction Permits dated 12/9/80, same subject.

Gentlemen:

The referenced letter requested that we correct deficient areas of our evacuation time estimate that are rated " poor" or "none".

Our continuing efforts in this area include the assignment, to a consultant, of an evacuation time study. The result of this study will not be available for review until after April 1, 1981. This does not comply with the scheduling criterion listed in the referenced NRC letter.

In order to effectively respond to the referenced conditions and concurrently to incorporate commentary by state and county officials, a 30-day extension is requested.
