Dear Mr. Grier:

The reference (4) letter advises we will complete our response to the subject bulletin as soon as the information is available from General Electric Company, our supplier for the Nuclear Steam Supply System.

We have been advised by General Electric that Field Disposition Instructions (FDI's) are currently being issued to their site personnel to inspect 1151 Rosemount Transmitters for cards with either "A" or "D" output codes. The results of this inspection will be reviewed and corrective measures taken to obtain replacement cards from Rosemount for delivery to the site. Thi:, work, including installation of replacement cards where necessary, will be complete by September 30, 1982.

A copy of the General Electric letter of 1/28/81 from H. G. DeVoss to R. A. Mulford, Project Manager is attached.

Conclusion of this action will be tracked by the follow-up system for IE Bulletins, IE Circulars and Notices maintained in the office of the Project ibnager.

LIMERICK GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 & 2 IE BULLETIN 80-16. ROSDiONT TRANSMITTERS This is to advise you that FDIs are being issued to direct the Limerick site to inspect 1151 Rosemont Transmitters serving approximately 25 different functions on each ynit to determine which printed circuit card is installed.

Upon completion of this inspection and review of the results, any necessary replacement cards will be obtained from Rosemont and delivered to the site.

We expect this effort to be complete by September 30, 1982 on Unit 1 and December 31, 1982 on Unit 2.

This schedule will allow a minimum of three months for the site to exchange the cards before startup of pre-ops.
