This letter is in response to your recent letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission regarding Vermont Yankee.

Concerns similar to those expressed in your letter were recently considered in a decision issued on December 29, 1980 pursuant to 10 CFR 2.206 of the Commission's regulations.

10 CFR 2.206'provides an opportunity for persons to request the Commission to take action.

A copy of the decision (D0 80-36, December 29, 1930) is enclosed for your information.

I share your concern for nuclear safety, and will continue to enforce the Commission's safety regulations.
