O UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSIDH DOCKET N0. 50-327 TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY P0TICE OF ISSUANCE OF Af1ENDMENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. DPR-77 The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 4 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-77, issued to Tennessee Valley Authority (licensee) for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Unit 1 (the facility) located in Hamilton Cnunty, Tennessee. This amendment changed the minimum ice mass inventory in the ice condenser from 2,721,950 pounds to not less than 2,333,100. pounds and changed the mir;imum 1. a weight of the sample baskets from 1400 pounds per basket to not less th'an 1200 pounds per basket.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act cf 1954, as amended (the Act), ard the Commission's regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commissions' regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice nf this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards' consideration.
l The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will i
not result.in any-significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR $51.5 (d)(4) an. environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environmental impact. appraisal need to be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
