Attachment to AECM-81/70 Page 1 of 1 STATUS REPORT #3 TO PRD-80/39 I. Description of Deficiency ITE Imperial terminations were found to be crimped without any of the conductor strands in the lug barrel on approximately 75% of terminations checked in block terminals on the 15AA and 16AB busses in the ESF 4.16 kv System (R21) for Unit 1. (System R21 is the 4.16 kv Switchgear and Load Shedding and Sequencing Panels.)

II. Resolution of Deficiency Our investigation to date has determined that the cited deficiency would not have adversely affected the safety of plant operation.

However, we have determined that Grand Gulf Nuclear Station has additional equipment supplied by ITE Imperial. We will inspect all ITE switchgear for similar deficient conditions.

III. Status-The constructor is currently performing inspection of the addi-tional ITE equipment.

IV. Reasons for Delaying Final Report Inspections are not completed or evaluated. The NSSS Supplier applicability has not been determined nor evaluated.

V. Projected Final Report Submittal Date It is estinated that corrective actions will be completed and our

. final report submitted-by September 16,"1981.
