- 42 0 Adhh,1rman Miller and Members of the Board:
This is to advise you that the Public Utilities Board of Brownsville has very recently reached a scttlement Of its differences with the Central and South West Companies.
The Staff understands that this settlement has not yet been approved by the respective principals of Brownsville and CSW, and that it does not rei 1ve or eliminate Brownsville's request for an NRC antitrust hearing vis-a-vis Texas Utilities Company and Houston Light-ing & Power Company.
Further, the Staff has been assured that when the settlement receives final approval, the parties will advise the Board more fully as to its scope. We trust this information may be of some assistance to you in your deliberations.
Sincerely, h0 l
Fredric D. Chanania Counsel for NRC Staff l
