Bemb Threat At approximately 3: 50 p.m. on January 14, 1981, a local radio station received a telephonic bomb threat from a male caller who stated: "The Dresden Nuclear Power Plant is coing to be blewn up in 45 minutes."
The radio channel notified the Grundy Sheriff's Departnent who in turn nottfied the plant about 9:15 p.m.
The licensee irpl e mted provisions of their contingency plan.
The Grundy County Sheriff sent a patrol car to the site.
No explosion occurred.
The licensee considered this a hoax.
The licensee will nctify the FBI.
No press release is planned by the licensee or RIII.
The State of Illinois will be notified.
RIII received notification of this event by telephone from the Nnc Duty Officer at approximately 10:06 p.m.
on January la, 1981.
