Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Containment Purging and Venting Our letter of May 9, 1980 (TLL 229) responding to your letter of January 28, 1980, committed to modify the purge valves to limit their travel to no more than 30 - 50 open. We committed to complete this modification by January 1981, pending delays in receiving kit parts.
Delays have occurred in receiving kit parts and modifying the valves. Therefore, we have revised our completion date to July 15, 1981. Until complete installation of the modifications, Met-Ed will limit purging to 90 hours0.00104 days <br />0.025 hours <br />1.488095e-4 weeks <br />3.4245e-5 months <br /> per year during normal operations.
It is our intention that upon completion of the above stated modifications the purge limit will not apply.
