Mr. Janes 5 Ahearne, Chairman U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission 1717 H Street, IT.T
- sshington, D. C. 20555
Dear Mr. Ahearne:
I should like to urge you to. per-dt immediate reactivation of Three Mile Island, Unit 1.
Our country needs more nuclear power. Reopenin6 this unit will provide more power and will consume less oil.
Contrary to that which
~
our inflammatory press has led many people to believe, nuclear power is the least dangerous form of utility power generation in existence.
There is no rational reason for continuing the inactivity of Three Mile Island Unit 1 because of the misrepresented incident at Unit 2, in March 1979.
Sincerely, m gf
