"This savings reflects the very high operating cost of oil and gas plants.
Starting with the current cost of oil at S30.00 per barrel and using a general inflation rate of only 6.0 percent per year, the fuel cost alone of oil generation would
'be 10.4 cents per kilowatt-hour by 1990.
This exceeds the lifetime levelized cost of generation from nuclear.
The levelized cost of oil, evaluated i
over -he life of Allens Creek, would be about 16.0 cenu per kilowatt-hour."
