7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COPHISSION DOCKET NO. 50-320 METROPOLITAN EDISON COMPANY JERSEY CENTRAL POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY PENNSYLVANIA ELECTRIC COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No.12 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-73, issued to Metropolitan Edison Company, Jersey Central Power and Light Company, and Pennsylvania Electric Company which revised license condition 2,E.(3) for operation of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (the facility) located 'r. Lauphin County, Pennsylvania. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment revises license condition 2.E.(3) so that tankage to store waste water would no longer be required to be reserved in TMI-1, but would rather be required to be reserved in TMI-2.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and require-ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required a
by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards con-1 l
sideration.
The Comission has detennined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5 (d) (4) an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environ-mental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amenament.
