a M-4-1-79-31 RCIC Temperature Switches Description of Modification This modification replaced the RCIC area temperature switches with a new model to improve reliability. The old switches had instrument drift problems and this unfavorable trend necessitated replacement.
Summary of Safety Analysis The new temperature switches will increase the reliability of the system, thereby reducing the probability of a malfunction. No design and function changes were made to the system; therefore, no different type malfunctions are created than have been previously evaluated.
The margin of safety is increased by improving reliability.
