Calvert Cliffs Unit No.2, Amendment to Operating License Fourth Cycle, dated December 4.1980 Copies of the reference submittal were hand delivered to you for review on December 12, 1980. On the same date, a routing slip (Form 197) along witn the Tac #43249 were issued, but it has not been returned to the Project Manager as of the date of this memo.
The Calvert Cliffs Unit No. 2 Cycle 4 Reload Analysis follows the rt.'erence cycle (Calvert Cliffs Unit Nc.1 Cycle 5) very closely. Your staff has reviewed the reference cycle, and we recently issued the license amendment No. 48 and the related Safety Evaluation. Copies of the amendment have been distributed to all the reviewers. Please contact the Project Manager if you need additional copies.
As indicated by S. Gupta and L. Kopp of Core Perfon::ance Branch, there i
l will be no further safety evaluation from therro-hydraulic and physics sections for Unit 2 Cycle 4 reload review. Therefore a direct reference to the Safety Evaluation of Unit 1 Cycle 5 will be sufficient. On the other hand, D. Powers of Core Perfonnance Branch will prepare a Safety Evaluation for the fuel section, and S. Diab of Reactor Safety Branch indicated that there will be a brief Safety Evaluation from his branch.
