Dear Mr. V.azmycz:
Enclosed are'two copies of the Fort St. Vrain (FSV) Fuel Reload 2 (Cycle 3) Safety Analysis Report prepared by General Atomic Company (GAC). These reports are being forwarded at this time to provide you and Dr. Tokar with advance infonnation concerning fuel modifications incorporated in the next FSV fuel reload segment. Be advised that this preliminary report is for informational purposes only. The report has not yet been reviewed by the FSV Plant Operating Review Committee (PORC) and Nuclear Facility Safety Committee (NFSC).
It should be noted that the replacement fuel elements incorporate three t
minor design changes and one manufacturing process change relative to the fuel design and manufacturing process described in the FSV FSAR.
GAC has concluded that no changes to the FSV Technical Specifications are required for cycle 3, and that no unreviewed safety questions exist.
PSC will be reviewing the GAC findings.
This preliminary report will hopefully prove useful to you and Dr.
