Denton, Assistant Dirwetor for Site Safety, L 4y THRU: Jacob Kastner, Chief, Radiological Assessant Branch, L SITE VISIT TO BIG ROCK POINT NUCLEAR PLANT On Septeser 1 and 2,1973, a site visit was made to. the Big Rock Point (BRP) Nuclear Plant at which time the radiological envimnanntal monitoring program was nytewed and radiological measuremnts and calculational techniques were discussed. The visit is described below in are detail.
Septeder 1: A meeting was held at BRP with AE0 (M. Parsont and E. Markee) and Consumers Power (R. Sindennan and others) representatives. The radiochemistry and counting labs and the meteorological tower location were visited, some plant effluent and quality control data were reviewed, a general discussion was held concerning the radiological environmental mnitoring program and AEC and BRP radiological dose calculations.
Septeder 2: A tour was ande of the offsite environmental sampling locations. Discussions were h41d regarding new technical specifications to be submitted by the applicant.
