Response to IE Bulletin No. 80-21, Valve Yokes Supplied by Malcolm Foundary Company, Inc.
The subject bulletin required all power reactor facilities with an operating license to provide the following information:
" Determine if any of the active valves in use or planned for use in safety-related systems at your facility have valve parts cast by Malcolm Foundry Company, Inc."
Vermont Yankee has determined that none of the subject valve parts are in use or planned for use at our facility in safety-related systems.
Since our review addresses the action required in Item 1 of the subject bulletin, no further action will be taken on this issue.
The following information is submitted as an estimate of the man-power expended in the research and response for this bulletiu.
