anticipate in connection with a petition to close down the Big Rock Point Nuclear Power Station which you plan to file.
The Nuclear Regulatory Comission is currentl./ considering in a rule-I making proceeding whether financial assistance should be pmvided to persons seeking to appear in Conraission proceedings. Notice of this proceeding was published August 25, 1975 in the Federal Register (40FR37056). Pending its decision in that pmceeding the Comission has found it inappropriate to authorize expenditure of NRC funds to support intervention by interested members of the public in licensing proceedings.
Should you desire to proceed with filing your petition without funding, you may be intensted in reviewing the Comission's findings on the i
allegations made by the three GE engineers ud Robert Pollard to which you refer. The findings have been placed in all local public document rooms including the Charlevoix Public Library,107 Clinton Street, Charlevoix, Michigan 49720.
In addition a copy of the Comission's May 26,1976 Menorandum and Order in the Big Rock proceeding is enclosed for your infomation since it deals with the subject matter of the allegations.
