Dear Mr. Grier:
Philadelphia Electric Company has reviewed IE Bulletin 80-23,
" Failures of Solenoid Valves Manufactured by Valcor Engineering Corporation" submitted with the subject letter received on November 18, 1980.
We have determined that there are no Valcor Engineering Corporation
, Solenoid Valves of the type described in IE Bulletin 80-23 used or planned for use in any safety-related function in balance-of-plant systems at Limerick Generating 6tation Units 1 and 2.
General Electric Company has not completed their review of the NSSS systems. Therefore, our response to the NSSS system applications will be delayed. We expect to transmit this response by 2/28/81. An expenditure of 40 MH has been expended to date in reviewing and preparing this report.
