Subject:
50-289-SP, TMI Unit 1, Middletown, PA Olllh
Dear Mr. Ahearne:
I am pro-nuclear and am not afraid to make that statement.
I am also a realist, and I realize there have been some unanswered questions on the whole nuclear question c1though I believe we have made great progress over the last year.
But, today's letter should not be pro or con, it should be reasonable.
TMI-1 should be restarted!!
This unit was not involved or damaged as a result of the accident at TMI-2.
However, unlike other power plants in this country that are making modifications while operating, TMI-1 has remained shut down and has not been allowed to return to service.
I find this unjustified and discriminatory.
Since the decisions made at Three-Mile Island will set precedents for the entire country, I feel now is the time to return TMI-1 to service.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely, S
