Dear Mr. Ahearne.:
I have been closely foltoning the March '7 9 incident at Three Mile Island as well as its afterma.th.
I wholeheaM edly agree that TM1 - Unit 2 was invloved in what could have been a devas.tating accident.
But.this is not the subjec.t af my Letter.
Presently, I am concerned by the continued shut down of TML - Uni.t 1.
Lt was not damaged in the accident and with the proper safety modifications there remains no substantial reason
.to constitute its shut down.
No reason other.than fear tha.t is, which is the main s.tronghold for those working against.the re-
- s. taming o f TM1 - Unit 1.
Economics and demand are working for putting the uni.t back on Line.
Therefore as a concerned citizen and a proponent of nuclear power, I strongly supped the safe and orderly reopening of TM1 -
Unit 1.
