ORDER Counsel for South Carolina..Public Service Authority (Santee Cooper),
Hugh P. Morrison, by letter of January 14, 1981 to Samuel J. Chilk, Secretary, advised that Central Electric Cooperative (Central) and Santee Cooper have 1
concluded a Power System Coordination Agreement ( Agreement) pending approval by the REA.
The Agreement provides among other things an opportunity for l
Central to purchase an ownership share in the Summer facihty and provisions l
relating to transmission servic'e.

The Commission is currefitTT7n-the final stage of-deciding whether or 3
not to grant Central's petition for a finding of "significant changes."
In light of Mr. Morrison's letter, the Commission would welcome coments from the participants in the "significant changes" matter and from the Department l

2 of Justice on the question of the effect, if any, of the Agreement on the issue before the Commission.
Schedule for Comment.
Comments from Central, Santee Cooper and South Carolina Electric and Gas Co. are requested to be filed by January 23, 1981.
The Department of Justice is requested to file its comments by January 30, 1981.
The NRC staff is requested to file its comments by February 5,1981.
