TEMPORARY EXTENSION OF PRELIMINARY DESIGN APPROVAL As you are aware, the preliminary design approval (PDA) for the GESSAR-238 NSSS standard plant (PDA-1) is about to expire. The NRC is currently considering new guidelines regarding PDA ex*.ensions. Therefore, we are administratively granting, by this letter, a six-month extension to your PDA until these guidelines can be developed and implemented.
