Dear Dr. Morris:

w Several changes in the supervision of the Bi ock Point Nuclear Plant have resulted from the recent personnel co=mitments to the Midland Plant, Palisades Plant and the General Office.
Mr. Russell B. DeWitt has been designated as Plant Superintendent of the Midland Plant and has relinquished all responsibilities for the Big Rock Point Plant. He vill spend full time following design, licensing, construction and personnel training for the Midland Plant.
Mr. Cyril J. Hartman, Jr. has assumed the duties of Plant Superin-tendent at the Big Rock Point aant replacing Mr. DeWitt. Mr. Hartman has served in the position of Aasistant Plant Superintendent for the past two years and has served as C'aemical Engineer and later Chemical and Radiation Protection Engineer sines the start-up of Big Rock Point.
In addition to his experience at Big Rock Point, he has accumulated over 20 years service with Consumers Power Conpany.
Mr. George C. Tyson vill assure the duties of Assistant Plant Superintendent at Big Rock Point replacing Mr. Hartman.
Mr. Tyson holds a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from Tri-State University. He joined the 2ompany in the Electric and General Engineering Department in 1951 after several years of experience with the Government in the Bureau of Reclamation.
He was transfeired to the Bulk Power Supply Department in 1961 and worked at APDA as a Reactor Component Test Engineer and at PRDC as a Systems Test Engineer. In 1964 he was assigned to the J. R. Whiting Steam Electric Generating Plant as a Senior Engineer, working in various phases of plant operation and maintenance.
Mr. Donald E. DeMoor has as.sumed duties of the newly created positian of Technical Engineer at Big Rock Point. This position heads the following sections:

(d) Plant Engineer Mr. DeMoor has been a member of the plant organization since start-up and

(a) Mr. David A. Bixel - Accepted promotion from Senior Engineer to Reactor Engineer replacing Mr. W. Beckius. Mr. Bixel has eight years experience in analytical and experimental nuclear work at Battelle Memorial Institute before accept-ing work as a Senior Engineer at Big Rock Point in 1967 (b) Mr. Charles E. Axtell - Accepted promotion from a Senior Chemical and Radiation Protection Technician to the Chemical and Radiation Protection Supervisor, replacing Mr. Edward R. Cooper, Jr. Mr. Axtell has gained over six years of experience in both chemical and radiation pro-tection work at Big Rock Point.
(c) Mr. Robert E. Schrader has accepted promotion from Senior Instrument and Control Technician to Instmment and Control Supervisor, replacing Mr. J. G. Ievit. Mr. Schrader has gained over six years experience in instrument work at Big Rock Point.
Mr. W. J. Beckius has relinquished all responsibilities as Reactor Engineer for the Big Rock Point Plant. He has been assigned as Reactor Engineer at the Palisades Plant.
Mr. Beckius had been Reactor Engineer at Big Rock Point since January 1968 when he replaced Mr. R R.
Biggs. Mr. Beckius had been assigned to the Big Rock Point Plant since 1965 after receiving a Masters Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Mr. R. R. Biggs has been designated as the Assistant Plant Superintendent of the Palisades Plant and relinquished all responsibili-ties for the Bf g Rock Point Plant. He vill spend fun time following design, licensing, construction and personnel training for the Palisades Plant.

Cooper, Jr. has been designated as a Nuclear Operations Engineer in the General Office and has relinquished all responsi-bilities as Chemical and Radiation Protection Engineer at Big Rock Point.
He vill spend full time reviewing Big Rock operations and other necessary General Office functions.
Mr. James G. Ievis has been designated as the Technical Engineer at the Palisades Plant and has relinquished all responsibilities as Instrument and Control Engineer at Big Rock Point.
Mr. Ievis will follow the design, construction, licensing, plant start-up and training. The reassignments of the above personnel were effective on the following dates.
