Big Rock Point Plant Gentlemen:
Dr. Donsld F. Knuth's letter of August 28, 197h requested two items of information be included in the semiannual reports for the Palisades and Big Rock Point Plants. He noted that the semiannual reports covering the first half of 197h were due by September 1,197h and probably already writter and suggested that these data be included in the cover letter. Unfortunately, at the time of receipt of Dr.
Knuth's letter, we had already mailed the reports. This letter is written to provide the requested information.
The maximum dependable capacity (MDC) has not been determined for the Palisades Plant since the installation of the cooling towers as the plant has not operated since the cooling towers were connected.
The reserve shutdown hours (RSH) experienced during the first half of 197h are zero since the plant was shut down for the entire period to 1f @dify the reactor internals and repair the steam generators.
