The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amandment No. 61 to Facility Operating License No. OPR-28, issued to i
Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station l
(the facility) located near Vernon, Vermont. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment changes the Technical Specifications to incorpcrate the limiting conditions for operation associated with Cycle 8 operation, a change in the factor for adjusting fuel power density calculations, a suryeillance requirement for faster response from the reactc~ protective i
system, and certain administrative changes.
The application for the amendment compiiss with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
