Inc. At that time, we advised you that this report was considered proprietary data by Exxon and requested that it be withheld from public disclosure.
By letter dated October 13,1976 (attached), Mr Roy Nilson has informed me that this report is no longer considered proprietary by Exxon. You are re-quested to remove the " Exxon Nuclear Proprietary" marking from the title page and Item (3) from the disclaimer following the title page. When these changes are made, the report can be made available t lic.

Dear Mike:
On February 3, 1975, you resp'nded in a letter to Mr. Dennis Ziemann, NRC, that our report XN-75-11 entitled "Densification Data of Light Water Reactor Mixed 0xide Pellets and Comparison with U0, Pellets" be withheld in its entirety from public disclosure in accordante with 10 CFR 2.790(b) because it contained data considered proprietary by Exxon Nuclear.
We have recently reviewed this report and conclude that the informa-tion contained in it is no longer considered proprietary by us.
You are hereby requested to so inform Mr. Ziemann and further request the NRC to

remove the " Exxon Nuclear Proprietary" marking from the title page and
~
item (3) from the disclaimer following the title page. When these changes are made, the report can be made available to the public.
You may send a copy of this letter to Mr. Ziemann as evidence of our decision.
Furthermore, in a separate request on September 13 from Mr. J. M, Felton, Director of the NRC's Division of Rules and Records, he requested further information to support the proprietary status of the report.
I will respond separately to Mr. Felton.
