Docket 50-289SP TMI - Unit 1 Middletown, PA I strongly urge you to allow the prompt restarting of TMI Unit 1.

Unit 1 was not involved in or damaged by the accident of Unit 2.

Other power plants have been allowed to operate while

=Hng modifications, why do you discriminate (gainst IMI Unit I? Met Ed needs to operate Unit 1 to relieve its very serious financial condition. The electric consumers of Met Ed need the economic benefit of the lower cost elec-tricity that Unit 1 could be producing if you would only permit.

This country needs all of its energy resources to help reduce our dangerous and expensive dependence on imported oil. Don't you agree?

I urge you to allow a prompt restart of the TMI Unit 1 power plant.
