(bv' epresentative Udall has requested (Enclosures i and 2) the Commission ask the ACRS review two issues:
the staff rationale on which its recent
' judgments relating to control systems are founded and the Comission's responses to Representative Udall's inquiries on ATWS. Therefore, I request the ACRS perform such reviews.
In its review of the staff's judgment on control systems, the Committee should take into account all relevant staff views. The staff will provide you with whatever assistance you require in these matters. The Comittee should provide a status report for the Commission to use in the Congressional Author-ization hearings. You will be informed as soon as they are scheduled.
