SUBJECT:
NRC MANUAL CHAPTER 4125, DIFFERING PROFESSIONAL OPINIONS This is in regard to Section 034 of NRC Penual Chapter 4125, Differing Professional Opinions, which was approved on September 19, 1980. Para-graph 034a was apparently taken from Section H.2. of the Appendix to Chapter 4125 but taken out of context.
1 It is suggested that the above Section be changed in its entirety when the first revision to Chapter 4125 is issued. The proposed change would : rake Section 034 of the Manual parallel to Section H.2. of the Appendix. The suggested wording is as follows:
034 The Advisory Committee on Reactor Safecuards:
deals with those oral and written differing professional a.
opinions involving safety issues within its purview that are comunicated to the ACRS Members or ACRS Chairman on initial submission or under apoeal by an MRC employee.
b.
will transmit items which are not differing professional opinions to the appropriate office director for information.
