ETSB COMMENTS ON PNL DRAFT REPORT ON DRESDEN, UNIT NO. 1 CHEMICAL CLEANING 1.

The report appears too general in treating decont, ninatic.) chemical cleasing at Dresden and lacks any specific information and/or evaluatiot,. We recommend that the report be revised to include more detail.

2.

Page 5, 2nd Paragraoh The capability and need for solidification of liquid radwastes generated from chemical cleaning should also be identified and evaluated during the early planning of chemical cle'aning. Com-patibility of spent solvent and solidification reagents should be addressed in more detail in the report.

3.

Page 6 This section should include an independent evaluation of the gaseous, liquid and solid radwaste source terms resulting from chemical cle ling and compatibility of such source terms with the proposed decontamination radwaste treatment facility.
