5G-328 Section 5.3 2 of Supplement 1 of the Safety Evaluation Report (SER) related to the operation of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant requires TVA to demonstrate that bor... mixing is sufficient under natural circulation conditions. TVA had initially planned to reference tests to be conducted at Diablo Canyon to meet this requirement. Since that time, TVA has conducted the Special Test Program at Sequoyah unit 1 which included several natural circulation tests. Enclosed is a discussion of Special Test 9B, Boron Mixing and Cooldown, which fulfills this requirement. My letter to you dated July 29, 1980, transmitted TVA's report on the Special Test Program.
