Change to Operating License No. NPF-8, Technical Specifications 1
Gentlemen:
Alabama Power Company proposes the attached change to the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit 2, Operating License No.
NPF-8 Technical Specification, involving the following item:
Relief from surveillance requirements 4.8.1.1.2.c.7 and 4.8.1.2 concerning diesel generator operability.
This is a one-time-only request for relief applicable to plant operation prior to initial criticality.
The Plant Operations Review Committee and the Nuclear Opera-tions Review Board have reviewed the above-proposed change and have determined that the change does not involve any unreviewed safety question as shown in the attached safety evaluation.
I This item is designated Class III according to 10CFR170 re-quirements.
A check for $4,000 is enclosed to cover the fees required.
In accordance with 10CFR50.30 (c) (1) (i), three (3) signed originals and thirty-seven (37) additional copies of this pro-posed. amendment are enclosed.
