Dear Sir or Madam:
In accordance with License Condition 16 of the TMI-2 License for Independent Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel and High-Level Radioactive Waste renewed on September 16, 2019, the Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) is pleased to submit the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) implementing aging management requirements.
The updated FSAR (dated December 9, 2019) includes the revised TMl-2 ISFSI FSAR Supplement, as documented in Appendix C of the "TMl-2 Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Application for 10 CFR 72 Specific License Renewal," Revision 3, dated May 21, 2019. The FSAR chapters that were updated, and are enclosed, include Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9. In addition to the changes prescribed in the application, DOE-ID made changes to correct grammatical and formatting errors, and to update references and provide other clarifications consistent with 10 CFR 72.48( c ).
With the implementation of the aging management requirements into the updated FSAR, DOE-ID has prepared separate correspondence (CLN200373) documenting the completion of previous commitments to perform annual concrete surface monitoring, as this program is now superseded with the Aging Management Program as documented in the updated FSAR, Section 9.8.

The TMl-2 SAR revisions have been sent to the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS).
Additionally, clean copies of these revisions are being provided to you on a DVD due to the quantity and size of the files.
In accordance with the renewed TMl-2 license (SNM-2508) Condition 16, these updated SAR chapters must be provided to the NRC no later than December 16, 2019, within 90 days after issuance of the renewed license.
