Facilities Radiological Protection Branch SUBJECT-N' QUALIFICATION BOARD ASSIGNMENT You are assigned as members of an Oral Qualification Board to ' determine the qualifications of Mr. Kirk Brewer to conduct independent inspections as-a Reactor Health Physics Inspector and a Fuel Facilites Specialist Inspector.
I Mr. Wenslawski will serve as Board Chairman. The Board will be held in the 4th floor conference room at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 14, 1994. The oral-3 examination will be a minimum of two hours long.
The pertinent sections of the Region Y Instruction No. 10ll, Rev. 6,. provide
[
guidance for your activities. You will review the inspectors completed a
training records and determine, by oral examination, whether the inspector meets the minimum knowledge and qualification standards specified:in IMC 1245.
Your inquiries should be directed to those areas specifically' addressed in the

individuals training journal.

At the conclusion of the Board meeting, the Board will prepare a written l
recommendation to the Regional Administrator (a_ copy of the form to be used is included in Region V instruction No. 1011). The Board will recommend either (1) that the inspector be certified.as qualified, (2) that more training be given in specified areas, or (3) that additional training be provided,E followed by another oral examination. The completed form will.be entered into the inspector's training record and a copy will be sent to the Technical..
