n Avenue, Jackson, Michleen 49201 * (517) 788-0550 December 1, 1980 Mr James G Keppler Office of Inspection and Enforcement Region III US Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 DOCEET 50-155 - LICENSE DFR BIG ROCE POINT PIANT - RESPCNSE TO IE BULLETIN No 80 FAILURES OF SOLENOID VALVES MANUFACTURED BY VALCOR ENGINEERING CORPORATION IE Bulletin No 60-23, dated November lk,1980, " Failures of Solenoid Valves Manufactured by Valcor Engineering Corporation" requested a determination of whether or not any Valcor solenoid valves having P/N's V70900-21-1 or -3 are used to perform any safety-related function.
Consumers Power Company has reviewed plant records and finds that no Valcor solenoid valves having P/N's V70900-21-1 or -3 are in use in any safety-related systems at the Big Rock Point facility. Therefore, no additional action pursuant to IE Eulletin No 80-23 vill be taken.
