Subject:
RESCISSION OF ORDER. IMPOSING CIVIL PENALTIES Sy EN-81-02A, dated April 1,1981, the Commission was notified of the intent of IE to issue an Order Imposing Civil Penalties to Burnside Steel Foundry Company in the cumulative amount of Two Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars.
After consideration of the licensee's response to the imposition order dated April 7,1981, it was determined that the imposition order should be rescinded in its entirety.
This detereination was based on the licensee's actions that included transferring all radioactive material to an authorized recipient and requesting the license be terminated.
The license was terminated on May 22, 1981.
Accordingly, a Recission of Order Imposing Civil Penalties will:be. issued on June 2, 1981.
The licensee and the State of Illinois will be notified'by telephone.
Since this matter involvec rescission.o~f the Order Imposirtg Civil Penalties, a news release will be issued about the time tne licensee is informed.
