Dear Mr. Kinneman:
This letter is in responsa to your March 4, 1981 correspondence regarding the two safety violations found during the January 28, 1981 routine safety inspection.
In conformance with 10 CFR 2.201, Coratomic, Inc. is sub-mitting the following statements with regard to Violation A and B listed in Appendix A of the above letter.
Violat?.on A:
Attached to this letter is a written report on the loss of Pu-238.
A copy will be mailed to the Regional Director.
Violation B:
Verbal telephone confirmation has been made with he State of Maryland to verify the current license for Prince Georges General Hospital &
Medical Center. A copy of the license, with current amendments, is being mailed to Coratomic, Inc. by Prince Georges Hospital & Medical Center.
Coratomic, Inc. is presently auditing hospitals for a current listing to determine which are licensea to receive our nuclear products. We will ship nuclear products only to those hospitals that have supplied Ceratomic with a copy of their current license.
