Dear Mr. Madsen:
This letter is in response to the Notice of Violation received as a result of inspections conducted at this facility during the period Novem-ber 1, 1980, to November 30, 1980.
. We offer the -following in answer to the second violation:
Page G h of CN 868-did in fact contain an error in the sketch depicting the' installation, in that <one of the three sample canisters was shown with the inlet and outlet sample connections reversed.
The tradesman assigned the. Job of installation proceeded with the job and installed-the canister. correctly without obtaining a deviation.
When it. vas determined that the ' job had been completed (correctly)
'without obtaining a deviation, to correct the obvious error, the foreman prepared.a deviation which was processed bL site-Engineering.
Th'e error in the CN package vill be reviewed with all Nuclear Project Engineering personnel, to =ake them aware of the problems that seemingly,
minor errors of. this type can cause.
d' The tradesman involved has also.been cautioned as to the necessity of following'the proper procedures even though the proper methods are very obvious.
