SUBJECT:
MEETING IN SILVER SPRING TO DISCUSS LICENSE M MEWA APPLICATION PREPARATION Purpose To discuss with a representative of Babcock & Wilcox (B&W), Nuclear Materials and Manufacturing Division, the preparation of its license renewal applica-tion.
Place and Date M4SS office in Silver' Spring, Maryland; January 28, 1981.

N. Ketzlach, PNSS Discussion B&W is in the process of preparing its SNM.ll68 license renewal application.
The existing license expires on August 31, 1981. The format and content of the application were discussed and B&W agmed to prepare the application in t.ccordance with the " Standard Format and Content for the Health and Safety Sections of Renewal Applications for Uranium Fuel Fabrication Plants" dated October 1980.
At some future date BSA plans to expand the fuel assembly storage area into a future addition to its, present production facility. The B&W representative was informed a license amendment is required before SNM can be placed in any addition to the present facility.
