Dear Mr. Youngblooc:

After recent ciscussions with representatives of the NRC Staff (Messrs. A. Bournia and R. Giardina), Ccamonwealth Edison has reviewed the establisnec training programs for personnel at LaSalle County Station involvea in the maintenance and operation of the on-site AC power source (ciesel generators). In this regard, 22 key maintenance and operating personnel have Deen sent to diesel training schools sponsored by the LaSalle County diesel manufacturer, GM Electromotive Division. These individuals incluce both electrical and mechanical maintenance as well as senior reactor operators who will serve in tne control room.

In accition, it is expected that approximately six incividuals will be sent each year to future training schools offered by GM until all key personnel have either attendea such a school or have Deen provided equivalent on-site training.
