SUBJECT:

Vermont Yankee Reload Analysis Methods Meeting, January 28-29, 1981 On January 28-29, 1981 the NRC staff cet with Yankee Atomic Electric Company (YAEC) to discuss reload analysis methods to be applied to the Vennont Yankee reload #9 analyses. scheduled for submittal June 8,1981.

YAEC pe"sonnel met with representativescof the Reactor Systems Branch the afternoon of January 28, the Core Ferformance Branch the moming of January 29, and NRC management the aftemoon of January 29. A list of attendees is enclosed.

An agenda of items which were discussed and schedules for documentation is also enclosed. The reload submittal of June 8 using the new methods would need to be approved in time for plant startup Dececter 5,1981.

If problems developed in approval of methods, YAEC would be able to provide alternate analy:as if they were infonned by latecsunner. Barring unforeseen problems, the 4taff foresaw no reasons, either technically or from resource availability, that this schedule could not be met.
