Dear Mr. Denton:

In the " Description of Licensee Activities" Public Service Company of Indiana, Inc. (PSI) said that Quality Engineers would review and comment on drawings, specifications, and contractor proced.res in defining accept /

reject criteria. PSI believes that the following sentences better describe the work of Quality Engineers:

" Quality Engineers review and comment on specifications and contractor procedures. They may use drawings, in conjunction with specifications and procedures, as an aid in declaring more specific accept / reject criteria."

Review and approval of Engineering Documents (i.e. drawings) are desig-nated the responsibility of Sargent and Lundy Engineering Groups, as stipulated in the second paragraph of Section III-C-3 of the "Descrip-l tion of Licensee Activities."

In conclusion, PSI believes this clarification does not have an impact on quality, but further specifies organizational parameters and describes more discriminately the process of our program.
