Dear Mr,

Engelken:

Your letter dated July 21, 1976 and the attach =ent, IE Balletin 76-06, reported a malfunction of a Target Rock safety relief valve at another reactor facility and requested a response on the applicability of this problem to our Humboldt facility.

There are no safety related diaphra5= operated relief valves in high te=perature fluid systems installed at Humboldt Bay Unit No. 3 and we have no plans to install any of these valves in the future.

V ry truly yours,
