ORDER On or about Decedoer 17, 1980, Intervenor TexPirg and on Der h 22, 1980 Intervenor Hinderstein filed not:.cas for extension of tim within stich to file the written direct testironies of deir expert witness, Mr. Howard Saxion. Both regaested extensions of ~& frac the due date of Decer:Der 18 to Dece::ber 31, 1980 because Mr. Sanon had been called out-of-state to California between Dece:ber 12 and Decedoe-17, 1980 and had not been able to cocolete his direct test =enies.
Contrary to 10 C.F.R. 6 2.711(a), the Intervenors have not shown good cause in sup of their notions. They have not explained why their I:otions had not been filed on or before Decencer 12 nor explained why Mr. Sancn was unable to ec=olete his written tes-Mes before his decarture.
However, in its response of Decedoer 31, 1980 Staff does not object to the granting of Ms. Hinderstein's notion and apparently has no objection to the granting of Tex?irg's notion. Applicant's response of Decedoer 31, 1980 states that it has no objection and that the prejudice occasioned by the result-ins: delay will be *nbl.
