By Memorandum dated September 17, 1980 this Board inquirej whether, and'

.9 if so, when, the Staff could be prepared to present its position on the financial capability of the Applicants to construct and operate the Zimmer facility. We replied on October 12, 1980 that the Staff analysts were then engaged in the Three Mile Island proceeding and we could not project a meaningful schedule.
Since then the financial review for TMI has been deferred for reasons not here applicable. Therefore, the Staff analysts have begun their review of the financial material recently provided by Applicants. Assuming no unexpected problems or untoward circumstances, the Staff anticipates its review will be completed during
'he last half of January 1981. The Staff would be prepared to go~to hearing as soon thereaf ter as the Board decides is proper.
If other changes effect our tentative schedule, we shall so inform you.
