This is to inform you, in accordance with the requirements of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, that the NRC has not completed licensing action on your export license application XSNM01431 for low enri-hed uranium to Taiwan for the initial cores and three reloads for the Maanshan Nuclear Power Reactor Units 1 and 2.

Favorable Executive Branch views on this apolication were received by the NRC on June 16, 1979. The staff completed its review on this case and on July 28 forwarded a recommendation to the Comission that the export be l

approved. We expect final Commission action on this application in the near future.
